So yeah this is from a self portrait project we had to do- the only requirement was that it was a self portrait- you could pretty much do anything as long as it resembled you XD So I drew my face (from a picture, graphing it out to get the proportions as realistic as possible) then colored it with prismacolors on black paper. I really like the effect n_n And the grey stuff on my forehead is just shadows from my fingers (yeah the picture pretty much sucks because it was taken at 6:00 am before I went to school and we couldn't get the right lighting, and if we used the flash the burnished colored pencil bounced off of it and crap... so yeah, hope you like this.
Time taken: About 10-14 hrs
Medium: prismacolor pencils
Size: 15x12in (erk biiiiig!)
And I'm going to be entering it into a contest in december along with a digital media piece and if I can, a mixed media piece. So hopefully I'll get some money from that *crosses fingers*
Oh, and I made a spiffy watermark n_n *ish so proud*
I LOVE this picture. I gawked at it every time I passed it on the way to choir. XD

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
